Did You Fail At Something? Good—Do Something Else

I ran across this article, “Did You Fail At Something?  Good – Do Something Else,” by Darius Foroux, and it got me thinking about how dynamic financial planning can help clients move past disappointments and frustrations.  Financial planning isn’t always the most exciting topic but think of it as a map, without which you wouldn’t know where you are, or where you are going.

The planning we do at Team Hewins helps clients visualize whether they are headed toward achieving their goals or not.  Clients can preview the impact of their decisions without actually making them, allowing them to be proactive about their futures.  That said, we can’t always anticipate obstacles–most of our lives do not flow according to plan, and we have to navigate them on the fly.   Frustration, disappointment, and complaints are normal.  But planning and considering various outcomes can help clients stay flexible and gain comfort and confidence with making changes along the way.  We tend to ignore what we don’t want to see or acknowledge.  Let Team Hewins help you see the “good” and feel empowered to manage through life’s challenges.
