Christina Gann Munguia, CFP®
Christina is deeply passionate about helping clients find clarity in their lives. Christina works collaboratively with clients and their estate, insurance and tax professionals to help create comprehensive financial plans that address all of the clients’ needs and bring clarity to their financial affairs. Her client focus shows in her work every day, and her clients come to appreciate how deeply she cares for them and their well-being.
Christina joined us as an Associate Advisor in 2015, after which she earned the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ designation and was soon after promoted to Financial Advisor. Prior to joining Team Hewins, Christina spent nine years as a Financial Aid Administrator at Stanford University, Graduate School of Business. She enjoyed working with the students and helping them navigate through the student loan application process. Financial Aid is ever changing and complicated; she found it very rewarding to assist students obtain the financial resources they needed. Christina decided to make a mid-career change into financial planning because she wanted to impact the lives of people in a much broader sense.
While working full-time at Stanford, Christina attended Golden Gate University where she earned a Master of Science degree in Financial Planning. In addition to meeting the education requirements to sit for the CFP exam, Christina also learned and very much enjoyed the study of Behavioral Finance. She believes it is crucial to understand the thoughts and behaviors of clients to help them make informed decisions.
Christina graduated from Santa Clara University with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology, minor in Sociology. Prior to Santa Clara University, Christina attended Foothill College where she played soccer for the school.
In her free time, Christina enjoys spending time with her husband and daughter, sisters and nieces, staying active, and staying current in the financial planning industry.
