In one of our recent client letters, The Chinese Connection, we discussed China’s role on the world stage as the world’s second-largest economy and as an aggressive power seeking dominance in both economic and military matters.  The relevance to our financial plans stems from the almost daily impact on economies and markets that China has.  And while military matters might not seem as relevant as trade policy, we would suggest that, for China, it is all tied together.  One grand strategy with many components.  This Wall St. Journal article titled “Vietnam Told China to Get Out of Its Waters.  Beijing’s Response:  No, You Get Out.” by Niharika Mandhana published on November 1, 2019, covers China’s aggressive actions in the South China Sea, violating international agreements and intimidating its neighbors with its military forces.  Serious stuff.

SHOOK Best in State Advisor

Forbes Best-In-State Wealth Advisors, developed by SHOOK Research, is based on an algorithm of qualitative criteria, mostly gained through telephone and in-person due diligence interviews, and quantitative data. Those advisors that are considered have a minimum of seven years’ experience, and the algorithm weights factors like revenue trends, assets under management, compliance records, industry experience and those that encompass best practices in their practices and approach to working with clients. Portfolio performance is not a criteria due to varying client objectives and lack of audited data. Neither Forbes or SHOOK receive a fee in exchange for rankings. View Patrice’s full Forbes profile here.
